Ryan Acevedo
Ryan Acevedo is a musician and journalist from Lodi, California. He has remained dedicated to the arts for almost 20 years and advocated for new music's positive exposure. He works every day to help create worlds through his music and writing, through journalism and composition. Follow his journey as he continues to exhibit musical excellency and dedication to an ever-changing field.
Experience
Writing and Performing Music
Since November 2023, Ryan hase been performing live on stage as a freelance bassist with acts such as Jack Lutz, Ty Bogikes, and Bryanna Bell. He is currently a member of the indie band Sweet Mango.
He has also continued working on his solo career under the moniker of “Ryzan Music.”
Arts journalism
Working with The Exponent has brought him many opportunities to express his love for the arts. He wrote for the Arts and Culture desk, soon becoming their manager.
This position also helped him learn about editing articles and doing photography.
Internship Experience
His program at Baldwin Wallace allowed him to work with three very unique and special internship programs across America. He had the privilege of working with The Bop Stop, Broadway Sacramento, and The City of Sacramento.
Original Music
Starting January 2025, Ryan has been continuously working on his solo music project under the name “Ryzan Music.” This project is a culmination of everything he learned in college and his continuous love for creating art. His most recent single, “Peaks and Valleys” released on streaming on May 15th.
